Driving Directions:
- From the north or south
- Take the A10 motorway
- Leave the auto route (A10) at junction 37 – signposted MIRAMBEAU
- After the toll booth take a LEFT turn at the junction signposted LORIGNAC
- Follow this road continuously, you will pass through a village called St Ciers de Taillon
- After just ½ km from St Ciers you pass a detached bungalow on the left – slow down you will now take the immediate, next RIGHT turn.
- There are five small signs indicating hamlets Chaintrier, Chez Thibaud, La Vigerie …. follow this winding lane until you come to a T junction (about 2km)
- There is a beautiful Charentaise house immediately in front of you and the road sign Route de Plumenail.
- Take a LEFT here, follow this road and in the distance you will see the gites, you will see La Galerie first. This road is winding and takes you past a
beautiful but derelict house (with a rapunzel tower) which you drive around, you then come to a crossroads, carry on right towards the gites (Rue de la
Peroutiere is signposted but on your right hand side)
- When you come to the property the car park is at the area at the bottom of the garden
If you miss the original turning right after St Ciers, don't panic, continue on and you reach LORIGNAC, immediately on arriving, turn right (opposite the junction you have a barn with a BROCANTE sign) follow this road for approx 1 ½ km until you come to a V junction, take a right, signposted La Peroutiere and Les Grands Champs, continue past a large hangar with hay and take next left signposted La Peroutiere. This way you come to the property from the other direction, so you will see the main house first and then the 2 gites. Again please continue and park at the end of the garden.
If, on reaching LORIGNAC, you miss the right turn and have passed the petrol station and entered the village you need to turn around and take the last turning on your left as you leave the village.
